First Visit

Did You Know?

What is an adjustment?
Adjustments are done by applying a specific force in a certain direction to the body, and the result is a change in the position and motion of spinal bones. You may hear a popping noise, resulting from gas and lubricating fluids in the spinal joints shifting.

Why might you need an adjustment?
Adjustments are done to correct subluxations. These occur when the joints of the spine fail to move properly and/or bones move out of alignment, resulting in interference with the nerve messages from the brain to the body. This can also affect muscle balance, organ function, and the body’s production of hormones and chemicals.

What to Expect

During your first chriopractic visit, the doctor will take time to get to know you and familiarize himself with your condition.

During the examination, the doctor will assess the condition of your spine, it’s motion and observe any postural abnormalities, also assessing the nervous system, while looking specifically for vertebral subluxation.

After your assessment the doctor will explain thoroughly what he has found and will outline the different treatments and care options available.

If, for some reason, the doctor feels he will not be able to help you, he will refer you to someone who will.

Before your first visit please complete a new patient health history form before arriving. This is to accumulate as much information about you and your condition as possible, as this information will help us to help you.
